Give During The Holidays!

The end of the year is always a stressful time. The streets are packed with holiday shoppers, on their phones weaving in and out of traffic. Has anyone else noticed how bad people drive during this time of the year when most are frantic going from one to holiday party to another and shopping without a budget?

I am getting everything ready to complete the year and preparing for 2008. In addition, I often feel that I have to buy gifts for family and friends because that is what people do this time of the year, right? How did we get into the situation we are in with buying so many gifts? Where did we lose the meaning of the holidays? Gotta love marketing.

Please consider, asking for what you need instead of what you want to keep up with those around you. Will getting that NEW item really make you feel better about yourself? For how long? How many clothes, shoes and items that you had to have are just sitting around collecting dust?

There are so many people in the world that are in need of basic things like food and supplies. You may not know this, but there are people right here in the Bay Area that could use your help.

Think about what you can do this holiday season to help another. I guarantee you will feel rewarded for a much longer period of time knowing you helped change an individual's life.

Take care of yourself by eating better and getting daily movement and sleep. That is what we really need.
